"Face fits" culture, immense pressure to be seen to work whilst managers cover themselves and don't care a jot about their staff. Colleagues have to look out for themselves as managers do not care unless their staff are 'popular'. Bullying and intimidating attitudes towards sick time and illness- a real 'presenteeism' culture.
