Cons

Working at Harris Tea has been an experience marked by frustration and disappointment. While the company touts a philosophy of treating the job as if you are an owner, the reality falls far short of this ideal. One of the most glaring issues is the lack of encouragement and support from leadership. Despite the rhetoric about ownership mentality, there is little effort from management to foster a sense of ownership among employees or to provide the necessary guidance and resources to help the company grow in revenue. Moreover, the absence of meaningful relationships with cross-functional teams exacerbates the feeling of isolation and impedes effective collaboration. This lack of communication not only hampers productivity but also leads to misunderstandings and conflicts that could have been easily avoided with better interaction. Professional growth opportunities are virtually non-existent. Rarely are raises or promotions offered, leaving employees feeling stagnant and undervalued. Seeing the company prioritize saving dollars over-investing in its people and recognizing their contributions is disheartening. Furthermore, there is a noticeable disregard for quality in products and business presence. Instead of focusing on delivering excellence, the business seems more concerned with cutting costs wherever possible. This shortsighted approach undermines morale and ultimately diminishes the company's reputation in the market.
