Every department manager is passionate and knows a lot about his or her product selection. The store offers a great variety of products in each of its varied departments. I loved my manager and my experience on a departmental level.
Cons
I worked at this store for more than a year and never felt that my happiness or the work I put in every day was of any value to Corporate level management. There is an extreme disconnect between what is needed to run the store properly (stocking product, supplies, proper staffing) and what the Corporate team prioritizes - expansion into new cities and maintaining the charade that the store is highly successful. For anyone (especially young people) looking to grow their career and put down roots at a company, Southern Season is stifling.
