      Pros

      I worked in corrections before becoming a nurse and missed it too. SHP offered me the corrections atmosphere I was accustomed to while giving me the nursing passion I have. Great company to work for. My supervisors are always there to answer any questions I might have. Within one year of my hire date I went from staff nurse to MTA. Great opportunites with this company.

      Cons

      I literally have no complaints about working for SHP. I have yet to have a bad experience

      Pros

      Overall, I like the job. I’ve worked at several different jails and they’re all different but I do like that SHP has manuals available for anything you’re not sure of. Communication is good too.

      Cons

      Definitely need a longer training period.

      I really enjoy the jail I work at and my manger Pay is pretty good I don't feel micromanaged and I feel supported

      Cons

      Health Insurance could be better More PTO would be nice No 401k matching as of now
