Southern Bank has an excellent training program for all employees that focuses on wellbeing of both the employee and the customer. The sales model is based more on the needs of the customer and less on sales quotas.

Southern Bank tends to work off of a skeleton crew, meaning employees often end up going above and beyond their job description. While this is exciting and meaningful for some, it can also contribute to increasing stress and confusing expectations because there is too much work and not enough people; giving extra and going above and beyond becomes a requirement, not a choice.
