Pros

-Working in a luxury environment with a high-quality product to be proud of and represent. -The majority of the staff is very friendly and helpful. -Good experience to add to a hospitality-focused resumé. -Employee cafeteria, healthcare benefits, and discounted room rates. -Direct managers are excellent and very hands-on!

Cons

-Upper management seems extremely shady and it gives me the ICK that the CEO and VPO are dating?? Unprofessional and, in most places, a conflict of interest. -30% discount only towards food when dining in the restaurants for employees is a joke. The restaurant staff works extremely hard to provide the level of service that they do and it’s absurd to offer such a low discount AND not permit anyone to drink the coffee that often gets poured out, anyway. -I was told when hired that my uniform would be both provided AND laundered for me. Not only did they not provide a full uniform but they’ve also recently decided to stop providing laundry service. Extremely frustrating to now have to budget money for an iron & ironing board that I wouldn’t have purchased otherwise and to budget TIME for pressing my clothes when I have minimal spare time as it is. -The lack of transparency surrounding tips despite recent reassurance/meetings to clear up confusion is also off-putting. We should be able to know exactly how much we’re making each night and not have to wait a week or more for a financial report.

Pros

I think it truly depends on the department you work in because there are close to 400 employees and multiple departments so food and beverage may be totally different than marketing/sales, etc. I work on the admin side and my dept has truly wonderful people, beautiful property w/ discounts, flexibility, and compassionate leaders who want to see you thrive.

Cons

the drive is a little far for me but worth it in my opinion and PTO is accrued on day 1, but can only be used 90 days from hire (which for hospitality makes sense - as there are 400 employees spanning multiple departments)

Pros

Beautiful property and great concept

Cons

Everything else. Shady CEO, pay discrepancies almost weekly, no praise for good jobs done, loyal employees who care too much and try to make things right for the team get threatened to shut their mouths, management are just people with no skills and fancy titles. No one has any power except that evil CEO.
