Pros

Great location. Bull St. next to Wright Square, CVS, and Broughton St.

Cons

HORRIBLE WORKING ENVIRONMENT. 17 people (mostly sales) hired/fired/left in the span of 1 year. Impossible deadlines, mind games, unorganized, frantic, out of touch, low pay, high expectations, unnecessary high stress. Management never thinks you’re doing enough and has an unpredictable temper. Staff expected to work overtime, without pay. Must work events (scheduling/setup/breakdown/clean) on top of designing magazine. No raises. No insurance. No perks. During most deadline weekends (Sat + Sun, 9am-11pm+), management is either home, on vacation, or locked in his office playing video games. Huge supporter of guns, NRA, and often requires guns featured in the magazine. Pressures local businesses to advertise then hounds them for freebies. The magazine topics are the same every year, and 95% of the time the articles are about the same people. This place has mastered the art of regifting. But turnover is so high, new staff rarely knows this. You would think management would have it down to a science by now. Trust me when I say, working here is NOT such a "cool deal".

Pros

A Small group so we collaborate often. Everyones ideas and input is valued. No one is overlooked. We function well as a team and are able to produce beautiful things together.

Cons

Can sometimes be high stress, especially near deadlines or events.

Pros

Looks great on a resume, so long as no one researches and peeks behind the curtains.

Cons

Toxic and vile. Lying, cheating, and literal stealing going on, not to mention incessant drug use and upper management's penchant for playing with pocket knives while hovering behind employees sitting at their desks just trying to do their jobs. Super weird.
