Pros
Programs designed for reasonable rounding volumes for clinicians; haven’t always been successful during the pandemic but strong efforts are made to correct staffing problems. Highly supportive infrastructure means clinicians don’t have to worry about a lot of HR basics that can plague other physician practices Pushing the bleeding edge of value-based payment initiatives; will be ready for mandatory payment reforms coming from the government. Tend to develop and promote from within. Plenty of opportunities for growth for those who are interested in other parts of medicine in addition clinical care.
Cons
As the company grows problems require a critical mass of programs experiencing issues until systemic change can occur—but I don’t this is unique to larger companies. Pay structure tends to be around market averages. As clinical salaries have exploded in the past year other companies may offer higher pay.
