Pros

-Great benefits (401k matching, health insurance, stock options, unlimited PTO, etc) -Amazing co-workers -Good work-life balance UNLESS you are a wellness coordinator (client/therapist support) -Fully remote -Potential to have a good product All in all, this was exactly like the honeymoon phase that relationships endure: it was amazing at first and then it slowly started crumbling.

Cons

-Terrible compensation. With inflation growing, it's even worse. I was barely able to pay my bills (to the point that my parents were helping me some months; talk about embarrassment) and could never enjoy the small things in life (like eating out) because I didn't have the money. -Favoritism and cliques. You are only moved up in the company if you are a favorite within upper management. -The product could be amazing but they do not care to fix the issues with it. Instead they deploy bandaid fixes and once the bandaid fix fails, they deploy another bandaid. Take the time to actually fix the bugs and the product will be awesome. -They hire amazing, passionate, smart people and burn them out and run them into the ground resulting in employees quitting. -Employee turnover is VERY high, please take care when considering working at this company. -If you take issues to HR, they will sweep it under the rug in an effort to protect SonderMind. They are not there to support you as an employee. -This company negatively impacted my mental health more than I could have ever imagined. The irony in that is shocking since this is a company that seeks to help clients improve their mental health. -They say that they care about their employees, yet they force the support team to work on days that the ENTIRE company has off. Ex: the whole company gets the last week of the year off EXCEPT for the support team. It felt incredibly wrong taking that week off myself, knowing that the support team was still working. Overall they have many improvements to make before they are a good company internally. There is so much potential here, but they don't seem to care to make changes.

Pros

SonderMind has been one of the best work environments I have experienced in my 23-year career. The company genuinely cares about employee well-being, ensures employees are recognized for their contributions, and fosters a culture of respect among colleagues—something I have never experienced to this degree in any prior workplace.

Cons

I genuinely cannot identify any cons of working at SonderMind.

Pros

I have had an amazing experience working at SonderMind. The company genuinely values its employees and fosters a strong sense of teamwork and collaboration. Leadership consistently demonstrates that employee voices matter by actively listening to feedback and quickly implementing meaningful changes. It creates an environment where team members feel respected, supported, and empowered to do their best work. One of the most impactful aspects of working at SonderMind is the intentional investment in leadership and team connection. Bringing leaders together annually strengthens collaboration, builds camaraderie, and reinforces a unified mission. Throughout my professional career, this has been my best overall work experience, and it is clear that SonderMind prioritizes both employee well-being and organizational growth.

Cons

While my overall experience at SonderMind has been very positive, the company is growing and evolving quickly, which can sometimes mean processes and workflows change frequently. This requires employees to remain flexible and adaptable as new systems and structures are implemented. Additionally, because the organization is highly mission-driven and fast-paced, workloads can occasionally feel demanding during periods of growth or transition. However, leadership is typically receptive to feedback and works to address challenges as they arise.
