Pros

I enjoy what I do day in and day out as a hospital liaison. Much more enjoyable than the PHA job responsibilities. My operations manager is great and very understanding, but not every region has this. The benefits are good, but nothing overly impressive.

Cons

There is not much job security. We just had a third round of layoffs and it doesn’t seem we are getting more contracts with health plans any time soon. The past few years I’ve seen that concerns and suggestions made by those in the field are neglected by the higher ups. Field staff is not consulted when big changes are made.

Amazing team, makes you feel like you’re family. Pay is decent. All equipment provided. Flexibility Being able to interact with many people. Benefits are good and not expensive.

Cons

Constant changes are made sometimes feels like there’s not much thought to it.

Pros

Literally just the mileage checks.

Cons

Constant layoffs, 3 since I’ve been here for 2 years. Mangement doesn’t care about you or your home life. They want metrics and numbers. You harass people all day even when they’ve declined to verify hipaa and services. They have a whole department for these calls yet leave it to the PHAs on top of their daily work. Even when members say no, they make you harass them again in a few months so they can decline again, leading to getting cussed out and abused by these members. They have no communication with procedure changes and policies. They change every week. You find out until you’re audited. They assign you new regions or other people regions without notice. You go from a manageable panel to a ridiculous amount of patients and they still want you to travel 5/10x a week.
