Pros

The job satisfaction is really worth the day to day engagement. The clients make the job really diverse and interesting. Their achievements make it all worth while. Getting back to face to face clinics has its challenges but this adds a tailored choice for clients.

Cons

To work on the phones with a 100 % clinic time is not healthy and not therapeutic. It's a "tele sales" job basically. You don't see your team at all. There's no supervision. As a professional with lots of years of experience it deskills people. The clients may as well be dealing with an AI system.

Pros

Some great colleagues that work extremely hard for their communities. Training opportunities dependent on line manager.

Cons

All managers and senior team are extremely overworked, often wearing too many hats due to organisation not replacing outgoing staff. This often causes burnout and massive turnover of staff. Managers often forced to drop all work streams at the flick of a switch due to ‘urgent’ priorities which could have been avoided had their been strategies and sufficient planning in place. Therefore can never plan ahead. No communication from senior members of staff on plans or strategy moving forward. Managers left having no clue as to short term or long term priorities for the organisation. Senior team don’t seem to try/want to listen to employees - no staff survey done in years and results never shared. Pay and annual leave is abysmal and no comparison to competitors. No pay rises and no appraisals unless you have a good line manager.

Pros

Flexible working conditions allowed with permission from management

Cons

A chaotic and disorganised senior management team that is either constantly talking down to its staff, sabotaging those they dislike or who differ in opinion, or micromanaging with constant overworking. If you care about your mental health, please avoid this place. Racially discriminatory or favourism based pay rises for BME staff. High chance of getting sacked for speaking up for yourself or completely being frustrated/bullied to quit.
