Pros

- Competitive and generous pay that’s at the high end of industry standards, making you feel truly valued. - The global vision of the company is communicated in a compelling way. You feel like you are part of something big and you're making a major difference in the world.

Cons

- Chaotic Management: Priorities are always shifting, and projects often get dropped suddenly. While adaptability is key in a startup, the constant changes make it feel like management is lacks direction. This leaves employees wondering if it’s worth putting in their all on a project that might be scrapped at any moment. - Exaggerated Performance Reporting: Management frequently overstates company performance. Employees often express surprise at statements or reports released to the public that are a stretch from their reality working in the company. beyond what is experienced internally. Leadership’s frequent embellishments create a disconnect between public perception and the reality employees face. - Overblown Performance Claims: Management isn’t upfront about the company’s performance. It often feels like the company stretches the truth, creating a gap between what they say publicly and the results employees experience in their job. There is such strong need to create a reputation of a stellar company that facts are often exaggerated. - Too Much Office Politics: The level of politics here is unhealthy and impacts the entire organization. Favoritism is obvious, and dealing office power struggles poisons the work environment . Talented people have even been laid off for "poor performance" when it was clear to everyone that it was actually because of political drama. Meanwhile, far less capable people fill their spots, which is frustrating and demoralizing. - Poor work-life balance: A small group of employees carry a disproportionate share of the workload, while others do very little work. It often feels like 20% of the staff handle 80% of the work. This uneven workload is evident to those working much more, and it impacts their morale. It is very common to work late into the night and on weekends.

None really. I'm here for the long haul.

Pros

As a scientist, I really thought that I would get plenty of learning opportunities here. I was mistaken, as that didn't happen.

Cons

This job is the worst. The employers are horrible. They use fear of job loss as a tool and try to run their employees' lives. They won't let you take a break for 5 minutes. It's a mentally draining job with no time to relax your mind. I still remember that the work strain stressed my body terribly, and I dreaded going to work. The leadership didn't see how we suffered. They kept on pushing us to do more and more. Most people I knew reached burnout before they finally quit. I was lucky to get another offer before I reached that state. As the employees in all departments were overworked and underpaid, there were tons of communication gaps that added chaos to the daily work life. I could blame no one because everyone was drained due to the endless mental abuse.
