Pros

I was fortunate to meet some great people ( sadly with the high turnover, they don’t last long). Initially all seemed great (training, illusion of team comaraderie, then reality sets in

Cons

Shortly after joining you start to hear about people who are constantly being told that despite working hard and making the requisite calls, they are going to be fired if the don’t quickly close deals. This wouldn’t be bad if it weren’t for the fact that most deals go south because of factors outside your control. Teachers backing out, school directors not signing off on new hires, Soliant support team taking too long with follow-up…. All of which falls on the sales person’s head. I was fortunate to resign before I was fired and then I leaned shortly after I left 4 were gone….. do you think this iOS really don’t bad hiring or bad leadership and a flawed business model. Now they have to spend the time after and money to hire new people and the cycle continues. I have also heard that the Managing Directors actually like it when you leave or get fired, cause they take over everything you leave behind and then take credit for it. Mentors and coaches are a joke and I’m just fortunate to have gotten out…. Feel bad for those who likely get fired almost on a weekly basis. Anyway, if you don’t believe me, read the other posts HR, please spare me the auto reply response about how bad you feel and suggest I reach out to you. You weren’t their for me when I was an employee, why would you be there for me now!

Pros

- The pay is not bad for the most part. You get paid weekly instead of biweekly or monthly. - Good way to start your CFY if you want to dip your toes into a school setting. - I got a placement very quickly (Only a few days). - Decent benefits (401k, medical, dental, vision). - Great support from my supervisor. - Great work/life balance.

Cons

- No pay during the holidays (summer/winter break) - Some miscommunication between the school and the agency. For example, on my first day at work, I was assigned to start at the beginning of the year. When I went to the front office, nobody knew I was the new SLP. The staff and I had to scramble on what to do with me. It was quite confusing and overwhelming. - The school district does not give you full access to their system (e.g., Areies, SEIS) due to not being a direct hire.

Thank you for sharing your experience and feedback! We’re glad to hear you felt supported by your supervisor, appreciated the work/life balance, and found the placement process quick and efficient. We also appreciate your honest comments regarding communication and system access challenges. We understand how frustrating that first-day experience must have been, and we’re continuously working with our school partners to improve onboarding and coordination processes.
