Pros

-The Benefits (free tanning, discounts, etc) -This is a good place for a part time job to earn some extra cash - Loved my coworkers - Easy -Stress-free environment -Customers for the most part are regulars and will get to know you by name (this can be good and bad)

Cons

If you're looking for a legitimate company to grow in and make an actual living, I would not recommend this place. There are two different types of roles here: 1. Sales and 2. Helper (bed cleaners). Working the bed cleaner aspect is more ideal considering you have no pressure and get paid basically the same amount as the sales person minus the commission. You don't have the responsibility to learn a handbook WORD FOR WORD and sound like a robot when introducing or checking in clients. Speaking of commission, I've had many coworkers be screwed over in the fact that they NEVER received their commission (which is about 5%), practically nothing. Also, training can take a very long/exasperated time and you wont get a dime till they think you've "passed" your sales test. I know people who worked there for months and knew everything by heart, yet were considered "not passed". The funny part, is that though they don't think your qualified, they still leave you all alone to run the store which can get quite hectic. I see people working there butts off to SELL SELL SELL and in the long run for what? I think the company needs to realize they have do have good employees and should pay them more if they expect the best of the best. The term "bed cleaner" is a little degrading. Oh and god forbid you have an emergency, can't come to work/ get your shift covered...because they will view this as you don't take your job seriously enough and wont schedule you. Finally, sometimes you will be there for an entire day ALONE which means no break.

Pros

It is a real sales job, so if you can deal with the extremely high standards of multitasking: ie detailing, cleaning, bed maintainence, auditing and membership and product knowledge; it does look good on your resume. You have the opportunity to network yourself to clients when you build your rapport- so if sales isn't quite for you, there may be someone who can hook you up elsewhere, but don't count on it.

Cons

A good amount of fines are delegated in this company! They take it out of you commissions, normally 5 bucks for a mistake. When all is said and done, even in busy season, you can make about 4% of what you bring in the company. A lot is expected of you for a very minimal payment. Management and the owner are both sales pros and know how to pay very little for their high expectations, but make it seem as though all is fair. The smart ones realize this and leave- creating an extremely high turnover rate. Membership sales need to be explained carefully- there are tons of customer service issues with the way it's explained. Overall it feels like a labor camp sometimes. There are days at some locations where you don't have a chance to eat and you don't ever really stop moving for long hours. You are expected to have a checklist complete by the end of the night- sometimes you will be at the store for and hour or more.
