Pros

Great place to get entry-level experience in the software industry. Benefits

Cons

Raises were promised in April, however, it is now May, and still, no word on when employees will receive raises and the CEO does not address it in the bi-weekly company-wide meetings. Additionally, the CEO reads these glassdoor reviews during these meetings and expresses concerns about the reviews posted online and how it makes the company look but nothing is done to make a change. Your daily priorities are dictated by Client Executives who have no technical expertise but constantly escalate issues and determine what your highest priority item should be and constantly pressure you to complete, all while escalating multiple items assigned to you and wanting everything done urgently. The products are constantly not functioning as expected and need constant updates and bug fixes while the operations team is left cleaning up the mess all while making significantly less compared to other departments. The company has a remote policy but you are expected to only work from one location as they provide a desktop. The company claims this is due to sensitive data, however, many other employees have laptops. This constricts you to work from only one location compared to many other companies that allow employees to work remotely from any location once they are on a secure network. Bad work/life balance. Constantly expected to work overtime and weekends with short notice. No sick leave, mental health days Good work is rewarded with more work and not higher compensation.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your input. We appreciate your feedback as it helps us in the mission to become a best place to work, every day. Softheon has seen a ton of growth in recent years and the growing pains are not lost on our leadership and HR teams. We are doing our best at making consistent efforts to make improvements to our overall employee experience and while we realize this may not be the best fit for those who are looking for a consistent 8 hour day, we know that those who are inspired by innovation and opportunity believe in the bigger picture and enjoy the challenge. Our remote policy requires a Work From Home setup for any employees who work specifically with sensitive data.. It is true, there are roles that do not touch such data and are not affected by this We are under strict compliance regulations and the integrity of client data and information is the #1 priority of our work. We pride ourselves on this commitment. Thank you again for all of your feedback. We truly appreciate the opportunity to hear how we can improve.

Pros

I love the culture here- everyone does an amazing job making you feel seen and valued as a new hire. From promo items and virtual engagement initiatives to a comprehensive, personalized training plan, they truly invest in their employees. The home office setup they provide is great, and the benefits are generous. The HR team is also fantastic- always friendly and willing to go above and beyond if you need anything. The training program, Softheon University, is another great perk, offering valuable development resources. It’s clear that the company and its leadership prioritize continuous learning, a positive work culture, organization, and delivering a great experience to clients.

Cons

Pros

Remote work (Must be from primary residence) Generally good coworkers Decent pay and benefits

Cons

CEO randomly joins meetings, reads out what I assume is the top self help post from LinkedIn and then implies that if you ever disagree with him you will be out of a job. HR micromanages all employees. When employees are not using the software HR provides, instead of reflecting on why they just enforce use and write up anyone who does not comply. Despite HR micromanaging the rank and file employees, upper management does not seem to have any accountability. High level managers in the company will routinely just not show up to meetings without any heads up and not give any thought to their direct reports. Long hours are expected of employees year after year. Management knows this but instead of taking steps to address it they just send everyone a box of organic granola bars during busy season.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad to hear that you found your coworkers supportive and that our compensation, benefits, and remote work model were positives during your time at Softheon. At the same time, we’re sorry to hear that other aspects of your experience left you feeling frustrated. We strive to foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and mutual respect across all levels of the organization, and feedback like this is important for helping us reflect on where we can improve. Maintaining clear communication between leadership and employees, especially in a remote-first environment, is something we continually work to strengthen. We also recognize that tools, processes, and expectations around busy periods can impact employees in different ways. Our goal is always to provide the structure and resources teams need to be successful while continuing to listen to employee feedback about what is and isn’t working. Thank you again for sharing your perspective and for the time you spent as part of the Softheon team. We wish you the best in your future endeavors.
