Pros

Smart people, above market compensation. If you like to be busy and thrive in a fast moving environment, you will find this place very stimulating.

Cons

This company is hemorrhaging money and goes through RIFs more quickly than I do laundry. They will hire a bunch of people, have a significant layoff, then realize they needed all the people they let go, and start hiring again. The cycle is like clockwork every 6-12 months. Meanwhile, your time there will be spent with toxic leadership and an HR team that takes away benefits but doesn’t communicate the change until people complain. If you look really closely at what is going on while you are there, you’ll realize there is no saving this former unicorn. Customer acquisition cost is astonishing. Too much is promised and committed before any revenue can be realized. This company will always be a step behind and will never go public. Your best bet is to hope that one of their larger customers buys them out. You are also treated like a child and are given mandatory quizzes following a monthly allowance hands to prove you were listening. It’s insulting and demoralizing to work for leaders who immediately assume the worst of you and lead with a stick, not a carrot.

Pros

One of the highest-performing companies I've ever worked for. There is a strong culture of collaboration, accountability, and winning, with teams genuinely supporting one another to achieve shared goals. The company provides tremendous opportunities for both personal and professional growth, and you're surrounded by talented people who challenge you to continuously improve and succeed.

Cons

The same qualities that make this a great place to work may not be for everyone. Success here requires a high degree of ownership, initiative, and self-motivation. This is not an environment for passive contributors; you are expected to lead, solve problems, drive outcomes, and proactively navigate obstacles. The pace is fast, expectations are high, and there is a constant sense of urgency around execution and winning. While you have the resources and support of a larger organization, you're expected to operate with an entrepreneurial mindset and run your area of responsibility like it's your own business.
