Pros

Social Sentinel is a phenomenal place to work. We have excellent leadership, we work with a cutting edge digital platform, in an exciting space where we are effecting positive change in our local communities by providing an additional layer of security for our schools, and places of business.

Cons

Very face paced work environment where you must be willing to dig in and help where its needed and engage in real problem solving every day. Start up environment if you are not into that sort of thing...I love it, but it is not for everyone.

Pros

Great team and advanced technology solving a problem that deeply affects us all. Working for a company that has such a strong mission has been a nice change of pace

Cons

Small company where sometimes you have to wear a lot of hats, but that can be a pro for some.

Pros

I started at Social Sentinel as an intern while still in college, and was brought on full time after graduation. I've always found this to be a highly supportive and welcoming environment. There is so much opportunity here if you're passionate about your work and are willing to take initiative. I've been able to learn so much from collaborating with different teams across the company (data science, engineering, linguistics, project management, etc.) to learn new skills, and find projects that I'm passionate about. Speaking as a former intern and current full time employee, it's been a privilege to work with such a motivated, experienced team of professionals striving to keep our communities safe. I'd absolutely recommend working here!

Cons

As a multi-tasker I personally don't view this as a negative, but as a small/medium sized startup, prepare to collaborate with several different teams on a variety of projects and be ready to 'pivot' at a moments notice!
