Public service is a selfless thing and sometimes you really get to help people.
Cons
The agency doesn't care about it's employees morale, improving work conditions, improving processes to make workloads more intuitive or taking front line employees suggestions into account to help reduce attrition and burnout. Go work somewhere else.
