Pros
I've gotta say, I loved working on social media projects at Social Lab. The variety was great, and I enjoyed collaborating with clients from all over the globe. Those morning standups were also a great way to get everyone aligned and moving in the same direction.
Cons
Here's the thing, though. The project management side of things was a bit of a mess. They need to get project managers who actually understand how long things take. You know, people who get that good design doesn't happen overnight. And don't even get me started on the lack of growth opportunities for designers. Junior designers were just thrown into rollouts without anyone explaining how the key visuals were done or what the design decisions were behind them. It was like, "Just push this out the door and make the client happy," even if the design was complete nonsense.
