Pros

SF has some great people (used to have more) that are very collaborative, fun-spirited, and genuine. They provide some great opportunities to entry level social media & community moderators, and have managers who truly care to bring them in, grow, and train them to not only advance at the company, but also in the future of their careers.

Cons

Leadership at SF is chaotic to say the least. A blind eye is turned to the constant power struggle between VPs that create consistent swirl, lack of clarity, and regularly shifting priorities. If you make it to middle management, you'll most likely get stuck doing the same job for years while empty promises are made to you that change is coming. You may get a promotion with new responsibilities, but senior management will not support you enough to backfill so you actually have time to do those responsibilities. Squeaky wheels get the grease at SF, so if you aren't one to complain or threaten your way to what you want, odds are you will stagnate here. With a constant churn of employees seeking better opportunities of their own accord, you may think SF would stay loyal to the people who are loyal to them, but this is not the case. They show a clear preference in outside hires than growing and rewarding their own proven people. Overall, the company lacks direction and a plan to be successful in the future. They continue to operate in a haphazard fashion to put out whatever fires have been started that week, instead of focusing on keeping the fire from breaking out in the first place. They are in dire need of a CFO to come in and provide a strategy for future state success.

Pros

The leadership team is knowledgeable and transparent. My own manager is the main reason I joined the company - she is intelligent, supportive, and a great mentor. She takes the time to teach and guide, ensuring that our team not only understands the work but continues to develop and grow in our roles. The Project Management team is one of the strongest I've worked with - organized, proactive and truly supportive. They ensure deadlines are realistic, communication is clear and create a smooth workflow, allowing teams to focus on delivering their best work. The CEO is approachable and actively fosters a culture of openness. Regular open-door meetings provide employees with the opportunity to share their ideas and perspectives, reinforcing the company's commitment to listening and continuous improvement. The benefits and pay are competitive, with unlimited PTO, which further demonstrates their commitment to work-life balance. The company is focused on what it does best, with the right people in place, and clear role definitions. There's no confusion over responsibilities, and everyone is aligned and supportive. Overall, this company fosters a positive, professional, and employee-first culture. I felt welcomed and supported by every single person from the start - if you're looking for a workplace that values collaboration, respects work-life balance, and provides the right level of structure and support, this is an excellent place to be.

Cons

Nothing that I can think of right now.

Pros

Depending on your department, management is very supportive. There is a real sense of collaboration and team work. This is a good place to start your career. If you value work-life balance and a healthy work environment, this place has that.

Cons

If you are new to your field or just starting out this company is great. If you are experienced, this company just can't pay at the going rate. Most people seem to work here 3-5 years and then move on. If you are more concerned with money than work environment, this is not a good fit for you.
