Pros
Some of the best sales people and leaders I've ever met work within the UK&I Sales function. The product is really cutting edge, though instigating the conversation with prospective customers requires persistent and clever prospecting. The technology is complex, as the problems it solves are rather visionary. This is a good thing, but some may struggle with positioning the technology. The office facilities are nice in the new UKI office. The culture is supportive, as its recognised the job is difficult.
Cons
Google Big Query is difficult to compete against, because they can tend to "buy business" in prospective customers that utilise GCP broadly. Office visits are becoming somewhat mandatory, which is a slight shock to the system following covid. The partner ecosystem is in its infancy, and should be operating at a more effective level with regards to pipeline generation. I believe this is being worked on.
