Pros

Small staff so things can get tight but gave way to tons of experience you wouldn't normally gain with a larger staff. Amazing CEO. Zero micromanaging.

Cons

Hands off manager meant I had to figure a lot out on my own but it also made me grow and adding to my list of abilities. Smaller agency so pay was lower than industry average.

Pros

Dog friendly office, friendly co-workers, fun office parties

Cons

If you’re just out of college and don’t mind being underpaid, Snap can be a great place to start building your skills and resume. However, don’t expect much help from management on mentorship or fair compensation. When I worked there, even those that were in director roles were making less than $35k/year and most employees were paid less than $15/hourly. In my opinion, handling budgets, hosting client meetings, and designing websites should pay more than that - even back in 2015. When I approached management to tell them that I made more money at my second job (hosting at a restaurant), I was told that “if you’re in this for the money, you’re in the wrong place”. I quit 2 weeks later and found an entry level job at a bigger company that paid nearly $70k. So if you need a stepping stone and can make money other ways on the side, it’s fine. But know your worth and keep in mind that upward mobility and fair pay are probably not on the horizon for most.
