Pros

As the company continues to scale-down, most of what would be listed here has disappeared. Free drinks and snacks.

Cons

No longstanding direction from leadership. Changes on whims of CEO. CTO is disengaged. Seems distracted by his other CTO job. The most used tool to handle customer and employee questions is half-truths and misdirection. Very much "fake-it-until-you-make-it".

Pros

Lots of opportunity for growth. Great coworkers and environment to be a part of. Office location is wonderful and centralized for activities.

Cons

As a company in the growth phase, lots of process and procedures are being worked out and put in place.

Pros

First off, the culture. Unlike any corporate job out there, SmartFile seeks to have not only have happy customers, but also happy employees. They also provide some great amenities such as ping pong, a nice break room, basketball on Fridays, standing desks, and all around enthusiastic people. Being a software engineer here, I figure I should review the stack as well. The backend is mostly Python(Django) with a Go-Lang script here and there. The front-end consists of mostly javascript with the backbone.js library. They are currently in the process of moving to a microservices architecture from a monolithic application which is a pretty big undertaking considering a number of features provided. Their take on agile is a bit unorthodox, but after a month or so it starts to feel pretty good, especially compared to other semi-agile companies around the area.

Cons

Being, in the Stutz building, they just can't get the entire office to the same temp.
