Pros

You get to build your own PC from the "spare" parts of the digital signage machines. Though morale was low, (most of) my former co-workers were great to work with.

Cons

Too many to mention, but I'll highlight the main ones. 1) Dishonest CEO. Example: He claims that his products are "Made in USA" yet he has his workers scratch the "Made in ____" off the boards he gets from other countries. 2) No sick pay or paid time off. If you do call in sick, be prepared to get roasted the following day. 3) CEO is extremely unprofessional and will verbally abuse you in front of your co-workers. Those who stay for over a year either have no where else to work or have acquired Stockholm Syndrome.

Pros

1. You finish work every Friday at 3PM(I would also like to clarify, unlike some comments before, this is for religious reasons not so you don’t work 40 hours a week or get overtime. You are initially told, you will have the 37 hour work week and if you do need the 40 hours you have the opportunity to make those hours up during the work week) 2. If you need help it is just around the corner, you just have to ask for it. 3. Everyone is super nice and helpful 4. You are not micro-managed 5. Excellent job for new workers and workers who have been in the field for a while. You have the opportunity to work new projects and secure different roles if you do not like your position. Your day does not have to be a set routine. Always have the opportunity to take on new tasks and learn new skills. 6. The CEO is more than willing to step in anytime and show you the ropes. He is very smart and resourceful and always has your back. 7. Aware of religious beliefs and holidays.

Cons

SmartAvi isn’t perfect it sure can improve in many ways. The first Con, like everyone else, you don’t have any sick days. Now when you miss work you have the opportunity to come in early and leave an hour early to make for the time you missed if money was the issue. This leads to my second point Days off. I have never had trouble getting days off or leaving work early. But it is important to understand that this isn’t a huge company and everyone plays a specific and important role. If you are not there the whole project will get delayed most of the time. So if you do need time off you will have to make sure that you inform the manager with a reasonable time frame. So everyone that was complaining about not getting days off was most probably giving a late notice or was trying to get day off when they are in a middle of a project.

Pros

Mostly left alone to do troubleshooting and repair work unless if there's an issue.

Cons

Manager was great at being a tech, horrible at being a manager.
