Pros

Smart Grid Forums is from far one of the best work environments I came across, a place where you work hard to achieve your goals but you always feel motivated to do so because this is who we are. Here I love our happy atmosphere, our positive energy and people are fun and encourage you always to be best version of your yourself, a place to stretch your skills where growth and personal development are always being stimulated. I love the fact that I have a dedicated mentor to guide me on my professional path, regular training and even a weekly book club bringing always relevant topics to our company culture and roles. What I love the most is that all of us have a can do attitude and are proud on what we do, all of us have a clear understanding that we are actually having a positive impact in our world by driving clean energy!

Cons

If you think you dont have nothing to learn then this is not for you

Pros

SGF is a well-respected producer of in-depth technical events aimed at electric grid engineers and technology leaders. They are a genuinely positive force in the complex, technical market they serve with a true dedication to delivering high quality and enduring value. Their reputation is a big plus approaching the market as a producer! The management is direct, supportive, and committed to staff wellbeing. The working atmosphere is professional without being overly corporate or stuffy. Staff are encouraged to gain exposure to various elements of the business and there is a positive culture of growth, development, and learning. Work is done only within office hours unlike many other conference companies, and you are not expected to take your work home with you.

Cons

The conference production industry is inherently pressurised, and highly competitive. It is certainly not for everyone. The high standards mentioned before are upheld - Deadlines are tight, the work can be challenging, and there isn’t anywhere to hide. The company works within a very specific market with sophisticated customers. You need to be prepared to deep-dive into some technical content and adapt your communication style accordingly. There's a lot to learn to succeed.
