Pros
IMO Smarsh is a pioneering company with great technology and excellent vision, and my money is on Smarsh being the market leader for years to come. I was one of a group who left the company recently (circa 2022), and I've read a handful of understandable but needlessly emotional negative reviews in this forum about 'head cutting' under a new CEO. My advice is to ignore all such negative reviews as these authors clearly don't understand what a leading software company looks like or how such a company should be run in the most savage economic downturn since the 1930's. I have worked in startups from virtually day 1 as well as in the world's largest software companies and when (and if) Smarsh ever IPOs, I will be one of the first to invest in the company's future. You will be hard placed to find better leadership or product with the passion and extreme ownership required to win. If you get the chance to join, do it! You won't regret it.
Cons
Every company has 'cons' but IMO one man's 'cons' is another man's 'opportunity'. Smarsh is growing fast, and folks who dislike growth and change and all the potential advantages that come with these will likely not like Smarsh. I loved working at Smarsh because of its growth trajectory and changing environment, but I understand that there will always be some that do not. My advice is to learn to like change - your life will be much more fulfilling!
