Pros

At Slyp they hire great people

Cons

It's important for companies to prioritize creating a positive work culture and environment for their employees. This can include fair compensation, clear communication, opportunities for professional growth, and a respectful and supportive workplace culture. When employees feel valued and respected, they are more likely to be motivated and productive, which ultimately benefits the company as a whole. Unfortunately at Slyp none of the above is the case. Whilst they employ amazing people, they fail to keep them there due to unprofessional leadership. There has been about 6 people leave in the last 8months and its draining the culture. “Tell us what we can improve on” - any response to this falls on dead ears. Slyp could be such a great place but fails to be “open honest and direct” with their own staff about many things: pulse surveys, reasons why changing benefits, reasons why people leave and many other notifications that have a whitewash of classic PR language. Leadership fail to adhere to their own values - not once have I heard anyone (at that level) honestly admit things didnt go to plan.. there are many cover ups and poor change management strategies. Sadly, its like they are out of their depth making big decisions.

Pros

At Slyp you really get an opportunity to do your life's work. Nowhere but Slyp can you have such an impact across material financial systems that millions of people use daily with the aim of greatly improving their experience, the potential to scale your code globally to billions of users and at the same time have a net positive impact on the environment. Slyp is truly changing the world for the better.

Cons

Sometimes when you're this intensely applied to solving a problem, you have a tendency to work a little harder than you may otherwise.
