Pros

Build great relationships with clients, employee discounts on products, no one takes you seriously so when you're ready to quit it's totally kosher to just walk out

Cons

Terrible health benefits, deceptive sales tactics that you are forced to abide by, grossly over priced products and program, "just another number" to management especially if you aren't a top seller, EXTREMELY lofty and unrealistic commission quota, very low pay, very long hours, extremism micro managing, 70 weekly "care calls" where you bug clients on the phone all week until they snap on you or hang up in your face, forced to travel to other cities to work at other centers to cover shifts with no gas compensation or even so much as a thank you, extremely high turn over rates, management makes a killing off of the hard work of the employees because of the percentage they receive while we get nothing. I could go on and on. My manager used racial slurs and discriminatory language often and when it was brought to her attention she said "she didn't know any better" and NO action was taken by higher management. Slimgenics doesn't care how you're made to feel as long as you're making them money. And on top of that it's literally impossible to make any advancement in the company.

Pros

The clients and achieving good skills.

Cons

Like others have stated, you get what you put into it, until they burn you out because their business model is so archaic that few people's passion for the job can overcome the whiplash, head spinning direction, knee jerk reactions and decision making based on emotional suspicion rather than logic and well thought out processing of information. If you need me to more specific, it's everything. Because of this, the Managers and Area Supervisors who work in centers are set up to fail because their exceptions are very generalized and rarely clear, which trickles down. The other problem is selling products and services to clients online, which affects the paychecks of all staff members. The response from the CEO and Director? Sell more, give them better service and they won't buy online...despite the fact that the company markets to them online, with cheaper prices and we are not able to match them in center. You can draw your own conclusions on how that effects employee moral and how everyone (but the CEO) makes their living.
