Pros

• All interactions with other engineers have been positive, and they are a joy to work with. Can't emphasise enough that there are a lot of great engineers to work with here. • Direct line managers and Team Leads seem to care a lot about the employees - but the more senior the manager, the less they care.

Cons

• Non-existant salary progression. You will struggle to earn much more than the salary you join with. • Executive suite outside of technology is mostly incompetent, with high turnover. • New CFO is a massively negative influence in the direction of the company in terms of it being a good place to work. • Rates of engineer turnover are only going to increase in the coming year. • Very little product direction that lasts more than 2 quarters before changing drastically.

Pros

good perks, weekly pizza credit

Cons

The same cycle repeat over and over again, frequent leadership change, every few months there’s a new GTM strategy or initiative, and then it changes again when it doesn’t work, and they left. At this point people are just lost, priorities and goal shift so often, hard to know what actually matters anymore. decision maker doesn’t seem to bother to learn about the market, customers, or even the product. A lot of decisions feel disconnected from reality. mid management just blindly follow whatever the top push out, they can’t even explain and justify. The product is one of the most expensive pos systems out there, but also the most unstable one. Instead of fixing that, the focus is constantly on new processes, internal changes, layoff that don’t solve the core issues. It just recently shift toward a very high-pressure, almost “car dealership” style sales approach to push sales through (we are a software company by the way) without really addressing the product, support, pricing, or GTM strategy. When things go wrong, blame often gets passed between teams instead of looking at the bigger picture. Multiple rounds of layoffs over the years across teams, and morale is low. People are tired and many are just trying to keep up and lost at some point. They let people go for no reason sometimes, they already posting “future territory manager” when we already have managers in place for those markets, Very scary!
