Pros
Great team work on dev work, competent friendly developers, perfect for junior programmers to work few years to get start in career. Handful of good managers at Waterloo (not in majority though). Moving away from legacy products.
Cons
Not good for mid to experience devs, no autonomy, no training, little interest in new ideas coming from outside. Agile talk but not put into practice. Lack of career track individual contributors, little salary increase (below inflation in my stay), low salary for dev, no bonus. Need to fit very specific mold for advance career-wise, no room to hear about criticisms, suggestions upwards. Slow decisions, too many people want to get involved, too much micro-management, too many managers, lots of politics in low management. Very negative outlook on aviation for at least next 3-4 years.
