Pros

Decent benefits, cool product (in theory), lunch stipend. Decent work life balance until they started tracking clock ins/outs for salaried workers. Immediate bosses and management are typically awesome people, but they have to do a lot of shielding between you and upper management. When targets are hit, you get a cool reward/bonus.

Cons

Will fire you or hire a replacement behind your back and with no warning or prior negative feedback. Will say that you are too expensive, no longer useful, or that you don’t fit the companies’ needs. Will only hire individuals with specific experience of 20+ years in the exact role they want at a Fortune 500 aerospace company, and the turnover is so bad combined with the crazy hiring expectations that recruiting is unable to keep up with the Executive staff’s mind changing weekly on company direction and targets. If you start to make too much noise, they will bash for for not “Operating as One Team”, which is one of their core Code of Conduct values.

Pros

- A lot of empty parking spots - Amazing lunch that you can eat while working - Nice team bonding events due to sharing similar situations - Extremely fast paced environment with minimal oversight - CEO is a great salesman and can convince investors that the product is viable

Cons

- High turnover rate. Employees with bad attitudes get little to no repercussions because they don’t question management and follow instructions like robots. The good employees that voice out their concerns about rushed timelines get fired on the spot or PIP’ED. - CEO is extremely paranoid, erratic, and worried more about perception than the product itself - Managers are incompetent and force unrealistic deadlines which leads to putting people in danger - Work environment is very cliquey. If you don’t blindly follow your manager’s orders then don’t expect a promotion - Culture does not value integrity or safety. Those who challenge the perception or got hired too quickly get fired - This is a high stakes, look over your shoulder, cut-throat environment. If you don’t fit in, you will get fired like everyone else
