Pros

Their SEO and marketing lead is wonderful

Cons

The owner refers to employees work time as "machine labor hours" suggesting less than 60 hours a week shows lack of commitment. I also watched as all female employees left the company due to the poor management and discrimination of the owner.

Pros

- All companies have values but only some actually live up to them. Skyhook lives up to them. - Skyhook only hires top-notch talent so you are able to collaborate with and learn from some of the best in the business. - There are a multitude of growth opportunities and strategic initiatives to work on that can help grow you and your career. - For a smaller company, there is a lot of documentation, resources and processes already created that make onboarding easier and day-to-day work more efficient. - Skyhook is remote but still has an in-person component, getting together 2-3 times a month.

Cons

- As with other agencies, the pace is very quick. - As with other small businesses, employees wear a lot of hats which is exciting for some but may not be not for others.

Pros

leadership - the hardest part about leaving the company was knowing that I might never have a leaders who were so invested in my success. They took the time to set regular career planning sessions with me and to hold me accountable to my goals. innovation - I still call the leaders of this company and ask them for insights on where digital marketing and website design is headed. They love what they do and are always informed with the latest trends and movement in the industry. boutique culture - some people may not like this (instead wishing they were at a much larger firm with bureaucratic processes) but the size of Skyhook allows them to be lean and to pivot to current trends faster than other firms.

Cons

the mission of the company was still in flux while I was there, leading to ambiguity over the "why" of our work. However, by the time I was leaving this was already solidifying and I understand from current employees that this has improved. Now, I hear, they have a laser-like focus on a single purpose as a company.
