Pros

You will work with some nice people

Cons

-Not all products are manufactured in Vancouver but you will be told to say that they are -Packaging is inconsistent; the blue labels are often different shades of blue every time you order inventory. The colour of the product itself is sometimes different as well. -The communication between the senior management to frontline employees are vague and authoritarian at times - The pressure from work is high -They expect you to go above and beyond and you will never get rewarded or thanked -They offer online sales that will affect aestheticians/store making budget -They pay the aestheticians the same as new sales people, even though the aestheticians have gone to school to specialize in this - Will need to double check pay cheques as they sometimes do not calculate your times correctly -Will be expected (and feel pressured) to be able to cover at other stores - Lack of inventory- will sometimes give you half of the inventory you ordered, sometimes not stocking you with popular products

Pros

-You can build up your skill set with facials -Easy to build clientele -Facial based and good to gain Hydrafacial experience -Tips

Cons

-MANAGEMENT. They hound and micromanage you so bad and terrorize you with passive aggressive text on your days off, If you don't sell product your hours will be cut and you will be put on a plan. Even if you sell more on other days. -You only get 10% commission on product sales but only if its their first time buying the product so if you have repeat clients you're not getting commission when they re-up on products that they've bought already which directly lessens your pay and you're pressured to sell them new products they might not even need. -Hours cut even if you're full-time. So pay checks are really inconsistent. And you find out your shift the day you work. NO work life balance whatsoever -Owner and manager want you to suck up to them and be their pet. -Unfair treatment between employees. -Owner has NO knowledge of the Esthetics industry. -Cleanliness is not a priority at the Houston location. -Will have to perform a lot of massage as an esti, including feet, and its not very clean. -Body aches from long hours -No benefits
