Pros

- Have been given immense amount of opportunities from handing teams to representing the organisation at different platforms. - Have grown personally and professionally both on a J curve level of growth which seems almost unrealistic from the outside. -

Cons

- A super young team with overflow of emotions. no shade to any GenZ employee but going from a 5 member team to over 100 has been difficult to handle freshers who do not understand the startup hustle and solely depend on social media and negative post to define their work lives.

Pros

there is no pros about the company

Cons

When I joined Skillinabox, I was genuinely excited to work with a startup. I believed it would be a great learning opportunity and yes, I did learn a lot. But unfortunately, it came at a significant cost. As an intern hired for graphic design, I ended up handling far more than my role — including sales, hiring, operations, social media management, and even cinematography. While I am always open to learning and taking ownership, the lack of structure, clarity, and support made it overwhelming rather than empowering. The biggest challenge, however, was the work culture. Instead of constructive feedback, there were frequent personal remarks and demotivating comments. Being told things like “you don’t have any personality” or “I don’t think you do anything in a day” despite managing social media growth, contributing to YouTube growth to over 1M views, and handling LMS shoots — was deeply discouraging. Startups require hustle, and I understand that. But growth should not come at the cost of respect and mental well-being. A healthy workplace is built on trust, communication, and professional boundaries. I value the skills I developed there, but I hope the leadership reflects on how team members are treated. Interns and employees deserve guidance, respect, and recognition for their contributions.

Pros

I joined Skill in a Box as a Subject Matter Expert Intern with high expectations to learn and grow — and it truly turned out to be one of the best decisions as a beginner. From day one, I got exposure to different segments beyond just my core role, which helped me understand how an ed-tech platform functions holistically. The learning environment is very supportive, and seniors are always approachable and guide you according to your individual strengths and requirements. It’s a great place for anyone starting their career, especially if you are passionate about skill development and want hands-on experience. You not only grow professionally but also gain confidence in your abilities.

Cons

Fast-paced environment (but great for learning)
