Pros

Doesn't exist in this company

Cons

Sitetracker’s work culture is one of the most toxic and demotivating environments I’ve encountered. The company tends to hire employees for short-term needs and then let them go within 3–6 months under vague or baseless reasons. There is absolutely no sense of job security — employees work under constant fear of being terminated without warning. The Engineering Leadership operates with an authoritarian attitude, expecting blind compliance rather than collaboration. Engineering TLs, despite having limited experience, act as though they hold ultimate authority and often escalate even genuine feedback to senior leadership instead of resolving issues constructively. For designers, the situation is particularly frustrating. There are no dedicated Product Managers in India, and designers are expected to handle PM responsibilities on top of their core work — without any support or acknowledgment. If you try to highlight these challenges, management finds ways to penalise you instead of addressing the problem. Creative ideas are dismissed without logical reasoning, and when outcomes don’t meet expectations, designers are unfairly blamed. Meanwhile, several mediocre designers based overseas, who lack even basic UX understanding, hold influence over key design decisions, further lowering quality and morale. Micromanagement is extreme. Management tracks employees’ login/logout times, message counts, and email volumes — and if these numbers are lower than their arbitrary expectations, you’re accused of not working, regardless of your actual output or in-person collaboration efforts. This obsession with metrics over meaningful work creates a culture of fear and distrust. To make matters worse, the global leadership displays a clear bias against the Indian teams, often undermining their capabilities and shifting blame during global reviews. Leadership decisions appear inconsistent and politically driven — including appointing individuals with minimal experience to senior global design roles. Final Advice: Avoid Sitetracker at all costs if you value respect, transparency, or professional growth. The company doesn’t nurture talent — it looks for scapegoats to exploit and discard. Protect your career and mental health by seeking opportunities elsewhere.
