Known the company for a very long time and some time ago it was a beacon of productivity, efficiency and had the Midas touch with M and A activity. Then I joined and really the last few acquisitions have been poorly integrated. So many channels and one cannibalises another and so many shared resources that progress is non-existent and has been replaced by infighting and politicking. Additionally very focused on share price to the detriment of staff energy levels. The fundamental question is always what would the investors think – instead of quality and long term evolution.
A lot of mid-level managers from other Scandinavian telco vendors have joined and have diluted the culture to be like those beacons of fat and insipid mid-management. Culture eats strategy but the culture is now quite poor unfortunately and sadly even culture has no strategy to eat.
Admittedly some teams seem to function well but that’s as a result of rounded individuals leading them. Taking on back office staff from aforementioned Scandinavian behemoths has ruined Sinch – staff turnover is huge and this is a canary in the coal mine.
Lots of seasoned Sinch veterans are at a loss as to what to do and some will eventually move to rivals whom are perhaps better positioned to tackle CPaaS such as it is.
