Pros

In recruitment, a lot of companies will promise you'll get great training, be given time to learn, and you'll be apart of a growing organisation. Simply Commerce are one of the few who truly deliver on all these promises, and then some. The best thing about working here is without question the working environment. There's a really big push on positivity from the top and it's reflected in all of the staff; everyone is genuinely happy for each other's success (again a rarity in the industry!). You're also given a lot of autonomy in your role, which is essential for success and well being, plus there's always fun social activities. They invest a lot in modern methods of working too (such as iMacs, no-dial phones and stand-up desks etc) to try and make a challenging job easier. They also take everyone away for a weekend holiday in Europe to celebrate the company's birthday! Which I imagine very few others would even think to do! The best way I can sum up working here is...I LIKE SUNDAY EVENINGS!

Cons

It's recruitment so there's still inevitably going to be stats, long hours, targets, hard work and A LOT of drama involved in your day to day, everyday! In addition, building up your skills and market is a time consuming process; you need to be patient and prepared for the eventuality that it can take time to earn a significant income

Thank you for taking the time to leave this review. It is great to hear that you are enjoying your role with us, not many people will admit to liking Sunday evenings! Creating and maintaining a good working environment and culture is important to us, and we are pleased to know that this is recognised and valued. In the last two years we have had company wide trips to Amsterdam and Lisbon, and we fully expect this to be something that continues.

Pros

I was hired fresh out of college, no degree, no real decent qualifications let alone full time work experience. Both Directors still put 100% into turning me into a fully fledged consultant and now my life has completely changed. I've achieved financial rewards I never thought I'd see in my life, let alone at 19. Here are some bullet points below: Fantastic earning potential (One of the best commission structures in Thames Valley!) Fantastic mixture of training across hands on desk training, classroom/powerpoint based training and external training resources. Very supportive management team who explore every avenue in people’s performances to make sure all opportunities to improve someone's performance are exhausted. Free parking in a private car park + never not find a space. Autonomous, flexible and mature working environment where fun and banter is encouraged as much as possible. Crystal clear progression route for people that want to work hard. All support is provided to you to earn unbelievable money and be a great consultant but progression to Management or Directorship is there for the taking for people that have the right attitude. Realistic KPI’s and target, which don’t drive the business! Too many recruitment businesses are driven by KPI’s which force an unethical recruitment approach.

Cons

Offices aren't amazing, however there is an office move planned for the very near future.

Thank you for your feedback. I can confirm we have now moved to a purpose built office , the space is much bigger and brighter with many more facilities.
