Pros

Innovative Products and Services: SimpliGov provides digital workflow automation solutions specifically tailored for the public sector. Many employees appreciate being part of a company that delivers valuable tools to help government agencies modernize and streamline their operations. Mission-Driven Work: The company’s focus on improving government processes often resonates with employees who value work with a social impact. Contributing to the efficiency and transparency of public sector operations can feel rewarding for those passionate about public service

Cons

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at SimpliGov. The company struggles with clear communication, and there’s a significant disconnect between management and employees. Despite marketing themselves as innovative, the internal processes are outdated and inefficient, making it challenging to get work done effectively. Leadership often makes decisions without informing the team, which fosters a lack of trust and transparency. The work environment feels unstructured, and there is a noticeable lack of support for professional growth. Many employees feel undervalued and overworked, as the company doesn’t seem to prioritize a healthy work-life balance. There is also a tendency to overlook or attack employee feedback, which has led to high turnover rates and low morale among the staff. In addition, Senior Leadership is combative, judgmental, and harsh. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend SimpliGov to anyone seeking a stable, supportive, or growth-oriented workplace. The potential for improvement is there, but it requires a significant change in leadership approach and a better commitment to employee well-being.

Pros

Innovative culture and cool problems to solve. Great people who are doers and genuinely want to build something meaningful.

Cons

Processes are still maturing. For people who want to help build and shape those processes rather than inherit them, it's a real opportunity.

Pros

Interesting and challenging work in an easy-to-learn propriety application ecosystem. High-trust from leadership in managing projects and timelines with dedicated PMO resources supporting. Excellent work-life balance with no expectations for over-time and holiday work and 100% WFH policy with office space available if preferred.

Cons

Multiple internal leaders/stake-holders often results in shifting expectation and requirements for projects. Company is still settling into a status quo after recent rapid expansion. Experience with proprietary system not as transferrable to future prospects. Team structure relatively "Flat" with limited potential for advancing to new roles. This is tempered with a focus on allowing employee to grow in responsibility and compensation within existing role.
