Pros

Snacks, laid back atmosphere, great co workers (Catan Game Nights!), interesting product, great potential for opportunities for those that want to step up, swanky office in SoHo

Cons

Early mistakes in growth caused some road bumps, still learning from mistakes & leadership is growing into their roles. Not meant for people looking for a fully developed, autonomous company - there is plenty of of problems to solve for those who want a challenge beyond following orders.

Thank you for taking the time to share your comments. As you noted, we’re a young company, and always looking for ways to improve. And I agree with you that Signafire is a great place for ambitious self-starters to grow their skills on challenging technical problems! I hear your concern on focusing more on engineer input, and I think we can definitely find constructive ways to incorporate more of it. – Marc Alacqua, CEO

Pros

I'm fairly new to the company but everything has been great thus far. There is a lot of growth and new employees starting every week. There are new technical leads for most of the teams and a ton of enthusiasm for current and future projects. A few other Pros -The office environment is very relaxed -The team seems to be very smart and motivated -Lots of opportunities to learn new tech -CEO and leadership team is down to earth (easy to speak with) -New managers seem very open to ideas

Cons

Things are a little hectic. It seems like there are interviews going off every day and a lot of the managers time seems to be focused on interviews and hiring. You will see the standard growing pains of a start up.

Pros

People are super friendly, lots of interesting and intelligent conversation to be had. Get to learn Clojure Self starters will have plenty of opportunity to demonstrate initiative and will be able to learn and grow from those experiences. Can provide critical experience for those on the more junior side.

Cons

Company culture and career opportunities are held back by the current management. The seem to be wanting the company to be formed into something else, but haven't taken the steps to affect it. Enthusiastic employees will work hard and make progress, to a point but need upper management to organize and encourage these efforts. There is a definite cliff for experience. I can't think of any opportunities for more senior engineers to work on things that are interesting and will keep them learning.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, and glad to hear that you’ve found your colleagues to be so engaging. You are certainly correct in that Signafire is a great place for self-starters to learn and grow. But you’ve also identified one of the core challenges that all young companies face, which is that they are still defining themselves as they grow. We are excited about and confident in Signafire’s current direction, though I acknowledge we can be doing a better job communicating that direction. I encourage you to come by and talk to me about how we can further improve. Marc Alacqua, CEO
