Pros

The people at Sia are excellent (this includes both coworkers and managers). Personal initiative is encouraged, and unusually for a financial industry consulting firm, overtime hours are generally not expected. The firm also encourages constant learning, both by attending conferences and by utilizing the firm's internal learning platform.

Cons

Upper management and HR can be very disorganized. While this may have been overlooked in a normal working environment, the fact that everything was virtual made it very difficult for even simple tasks to be done. Sia is very accustomed to having an in-person working environment, and while I do not fault the upper management given the circumstances of the past year, it was difficult to connect with colleagues and stay informed of the latest projects through Zoom alone.

Pros

Coworkers are nice and some managers are supportive

Cons

Low pay and the way year-end reviews are done is ajoke. Going above and beyond at this company means having to work 5-9 after your 9-5. They expect you to have no life for measly pay. Turn over rate is high. Offices are disjointed. Leadership are having "benchmarking" contests left and right for sales. Anyway good people are leaving this company because honestly, they expect you to just grind it out without the pay of a big tier firm. Gender diversity is also seriously lacking at the top.
