Pros

- Some members of staff are genuinely lovely people - The lack of training and the need to stand up for myself to management gave me the confidence and experience I needed to get my new job which I love. - Office is fairly central

Cons

- A huge lack of training. It was very much a trial and error environment yet when you did make a mistake they were super patronizing. - A lack of support and it was an extremely unpleasant place to work without some of my lovely colleagues. There seemed to be a 1 rule for 1, and another for someone else mentality. - With the lack of training comes lack of development. There was very little room for progression and if you do want to progress, they’ll make it super difficult for you and provide a lot of pushback. There were also no appraisals for potential development, just passive aggressive ‘sit downs’. The below review is a perfect example, a 'valued employee for more than 5 years' yet they're still a Marketing Exec. - Pay was bad and no perks apart from 5pm Friday finishes, if that is even a perk? - Suppliers and vendors were never paid on time and were not treated well, meaning they wouldn’t work with you, which meant organising events and getting your tasks done was a nightmare (just check Google reviews). - Furthermore they always attempted to cut corners which resulted in unhappy clients. This lead to a strenuous working environment where management blamed everyone else (usually via passive aggressive emails). - The micromanagement from certain members of management was something I’ve never seen before in my professional career. This also included patronising staff, making them feel like they can't speak up and then complaining to them later for not speaking up. - They will tell you that it is a very fast-paced environment which is true. However not due to the market, the problem was the complete lack of organisation & everything being left to the last minute by management, which you will be blamed for and made to rectify. - Rarely/No options to work from home, which in 2023 is rare… - No sick pay - No HR (speaks volumes) - Get EVERYTHING in writing. They would always agree and promise things and then change their mind when it didn’t suit them.

Pros

Nice city central location and an hour for lunch

Cons

Received limited training and support. As time progressed I was told off for not doing things I'd never been told to do. Was basically the marketing team dogsbody. Director is an airhead bimbo with no clue. Some people are given special favours (wfh) and others aren't. Seniors aren't very nice, often patronising and cold. Very low salaries. My role was basically redundant and I could tell that from the week I started. My tasks were non existent or an overload. Was glad to have been offered role but why do that if you'll just leave employee to their own devices and provide no support to grow and improve?
