Most decisions/ideas/budgets from big to small goes through the CEO, which can cause a lot of delay and frustration as you will have to explain in the most detailed (excruciatingly detailed) way as possible for him to understand. As a non-chinese speaker, I had a hard time conducting meetings with colleagues/management from other departments (and sometimes individually) because they usually speak mandarin only or limited english. I had to have a translator (or a chinese speaker) beside me all the time, or there would be many miscommunications.
