Flexible Schedule, telecommuting is allowed, no macro-management

Tight deadline, can be a stressful environment for some.

Good people doing the day to day work. Dog friendly Lots of opportunity to work yourself into the ground for a company that doesn't give a damn about you.

Forced weekend work -- both days, which is illegal in CA, in order to meet arbitrary deadlines. Management has repeatedly promised bonuses to specific individuals in order to get them to work crazy hours to meet unrealistic project deadlines, and when the employees step up and deliver on time, they are laughingly told that there will be no bonus... and then they leave. Just prior to being acquired in May 2015, they terminated everyone who had a lot of unvested shares, to keep that money for themselves. If you are considering working at Shift Labs, or any company where James Borow or Clark Landry have any involvement, RUN!
