Pros
-More overtime than any normal person would ever want available. -Everybody at the Sierra-DSC are great people, it starts to feel like family. -Everybody comes to work with a positive attitude, morale is really high. -You can joke around and tease everyone in management, and they will not get upset. They have a sense of humor. -Excellent training. -Great pay. -Excellent progression. -Great benefits. -Strong safety conscience culture. -Highly competitive culture. -Only been there a year, but the ambitious people seem to move up. Many are content in their current job they have held for decades because of the available overtime. -It says a lot when people who have been there twenty-plus years still come to work with a smile everyday, and there are quite a few of them. The number one thing for me personally is that people take pride in their work. It is invigorating to be on such a great crew. We have a good time at work and still get the job done.
Cons
The only complaint I can think of is the last minute notice mandatory overtime. They sometimes announce it at the beginning of your shift on Friday that you will be working Saturday leaving no time to change plans.
