Pros

Most Part time workers are awesome!

Cons

Please do not get sucked into this job. The Assistant Manager is the ONLY person drug through the mud working endless hours, nights, weekends- always at the store BY YOURSELF and expected to answer two phone lines, take their orders, help every customer in the store while also doing the job of the manager who leaves the store every day at 3 or leaves early to “go to job sites” or goes “out to lunch” with the sales rep .... which apparently the sales rep can’t meet any customers alone. This company is full of sexist, arrogant men who don’t know how to treat people. The stores are run by the assistant managers because every holiday the store manager takes off and screws the assistant. It gets bad when customers are ALWAYS saying “wow you’re here again” “where’s all your help” “you’re the only one I ever see here” “do you ever get a day off” If this company truly cared about their employees like they say they do maybe they would read some of these real reviews and take action. STORES ARE CONTINUOUSLY UNDERSTAFFED. HIRE STORE MANAGERS THAT HAVE PEOPLE SKILLS AND NOT SO SELFISH. District managers - WATCH over your store managers. HR sucks in this company to be frank. Speaking from personal experience I reached out to my area manager and never got an email or phone call back after sending messages with all my contact info and left voicemail on her cell phone. DO NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY AS AN ASSISTANT MANAGER- they run the store and DO NOT get store management pay or any of the recognition of accomplishments.

Pros

Leadership training, flexible schedule if your store has the necessary staffing, 401k match

Cons

If you don't have staffing then you are required to work weekends consistently, Sales calls requirements keep getting higher and higher, incompetent corporate leadership. Pay is based on 44 hours worked weekly for assistants(48 for Store managers; leaves room for less work/life balance
