Pros

Due to position in the market, you are open to useful working experiences. Strong, hardworking team members who are eager to progress. Offer opportunities for part-time education. Active social club (you have to pay €5 each month for events but events are well organised and great craic).

Cons

Constant streamline of empty promises and excuses to keep you at the bottom of the ladder. No room for progression. Management have no interest in rewarding their staff, whether it's as simple as a 'thank you for your work' or financial rewards. As long as senior management still look good, then all is well with the 'team'. Sales team are expected to work 6 days a week minimum. No work/ life balance. 'We will expect that you are free to work every weekend unless you have booked it off in your diary in advance'. No salary increases (incremental or otherwise). Took away the incentive of commission for new homes sales after a group of young staff joined the team and did not compromise by increasing basic salary for the new staff despite many team members leaving previous jobs for this proposed financially rewarding job. For me, this was a job offer I couldn't refuse based on the information I had been fed about the perks of the job in New Homes. Directors and senior staff take every bit of credit for the work undergone by the team. A strong game of egos with a lot of ignorance in play.

Pros

Great Irish brand & with new Investors onboard to shake up the GLT, the outlook is somewhat better.

Cons

Didn’t like to go to head office, not the most welcoming bunch. Not transparent on paying your commissions. If your not in the head office click, you’re a nobody & treated like it.
