Pros

I've worked in agencies for over 15 years and never have been on a team like Sharp Innovations. Great communication, room to innovate and grow, mutually respectful work environment. I love the positive attitude everyone in the company has, and how we all work together towards common goals. There is so much freedom in my role that I feel like I'm my own boss. There is a great structure, but no feeling of a corporation or status ladder. Ideas are heard and considered, and our CEO encourages new ideas, fun, and personal growth.

Cons

I really haven't come across any cons after being with the company for almost a year. I'm remote and work out of California and they have been very pro-active about making me feel included and going out of their way to incorporate more connection between the remote team and the in-person team.

Pros

Well organized processes, friendly team. Leadership team cares about employees. Very positive environment to work in. Everyone is busy and has lots of work to do, but it's not overly stressful which is very refreshing. We have the time and resources available to complete work that needs to get done. The SEO practices are solid (white hat), and other marketing methods are methods I'm proud to implement, unlike some questionable practices that I know some other SEO companies do.

Cons

Small team means schedules are very tight, sometimes making it difficult to carve out time for more strategic work.

Pros

Great friendly people, fast paced work environment, great benefits: matching IRA contributions, 2 weeks vacation available on day 1, 3 weeks after 3rd year, good health plan (ppo)

Cons

lower-than-average salaries for web designers and developers, senior management likes to micro-manage, senior management doesn't grasp concept of production schedules. Budgets are micromanaged and new office amenities and software require a lengthy "approval process" which is mostly used to surf the web and find a cheaper price, and if one can not be found - request is denied. For developers, production schedule is usually 50% or 75% of the estimated time for a project - this is completely arbitrarily decided on in order to make the end-contract price more attractive to clients.
