Pros
My manager was supportive and nice. He tried his best not to micromanage, it's hard in a sales environment though. They compensated for gas mileage monthly for business meetings and prospecting. Decent pay for someone with very little sales experience. Potential to make good money, however, your territory and current account base directly influences this.
Cons
You are a number. Be prepared for Monday morning meetings where you have to go over your forecast with the rest of the sales team. Third party logistics for delivery of equipment to client was a challenge. The main difficulty on the sales side was that Sharp didn't have a product that differs greatly from the other players in the industry, so a lot of your deals come down to price instead of comparing apples-to-apples. A very tough and cut throat industry, but will teach you a lot!
