Pros
At Sharp Archive we make it very easy for users to leave us if they want to. We do this on purpose for several reasons. For one, we believe that customers should user our product because they want to, not because they have to. Also, it puts us in the position where we a team must to fight to keep people happy. Any day, any one of our users could leave us for a competitor. We much labor to better than all competitors to make sure this doesn't happen.
When potential users are evaluating us among our competitors, our aspiration is that using us should be the obvious choice. As we make our software better, we are working to make that choice continuously easier.
The only way that we can accomplish this is if we, especially those of us in leadership, are humble. We encourage everyone in our company to see themselves as the Chief Engineer who is empowered to help us all make it obvious that Sharp Archive is the obvious choice for our customers and prospects. We believe that an idea is either a good one or a bad one and it doesn't matter where it comes from. If it makes our product better, we do it. If it doesn't, we don't. It's that simple.
If you're looking to work with us, the other thing you should know is that we only hire people smarter and more talented than us. Rather than being a company in pursuit of people to fill a job, we are a company looking for talented people and it's our job to figure out how to use it in the best way. Our hope is that everyone loves how they are spending their time. Working with us shouldn't feel like a job and that you are "filling a position." We believe that humans feel most fulfilled when they are exercising their talents and creating things that others will use and enjoy.
