Pros

I really can't think of one

Cons

Constantly lied to. I get overweight ticket for $1,200 on a failed ratchet strap that the shipper placed there. Sharkey accidentally admits that they didn't even bother to see if I was at fault or not. I was going to get the blame anyway. If that wasn't bad enough, they forget to pay the ticket, so my license gets suspended. So, on top of the $1,200 fine, that we don't know weather I was at fault, or not, when we could've known. If safety would've done there job. With the suspension, u can add 3 days lost wages and a $53 reinstatement fee to it. They did a lot more dirty stuff to me in the 6yrs I was there.

Thank you for sharing your perspective and for the many years you spent with Sharkey Transportation. Situations involving citations, investigations, and licensing can be complex and often involve multiple parties. They require careful review, clear communication, and follow-through. While experiences can differ, we recognize the impact unresolved issues can have on a driver. Even after 50 years in business, we continue to review our procedures and accountability measures with the goal of strengthening support for the people who represent us on the road. Matters like these reinforce the importance of consistency, documentation, and responsiveness across all levels of the organization. We appreciate you taking the time to share your perspective and wish you the best moving forward. — Sharkey Transportation Team

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience did not meet expectations. We work to provide clear, upfront communication around pay and equipment so drivers can make informed decisions, whether someone is newer to the industry or new to our team. Pay and equipment assignments vary based on experience, driving record, home time, location, performance, and equipment availability, and are reviewed throughout the hiring and orientation process. Our goal is to offer consistent miles, dependable home time, and a team that supports drivers on the road. We continue to make improvements across our fleet and operations and value feedback as part of that effort.
